**Croton Codiaeum variegatum
We had lots of varieties of crotons with leaves and colors too numerous to mention. The leaves can be both large and oval or round, or thin and long; leaf shapes are as varied as the colors of this hardy bush.
Photographed: All plants with the exception above were photographed in our garden at our former home in Montserrat.
Planting and care: Croton grows best outside in the tropical sun or semi shade, though it is often included in indoor office plant beds because it is very hardy and will tolerate shade if it has no choice.
